The Beckham family are in absolute turmoil. There seems to be no reconciliation in sight. From the outset, it seems like it all began at Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz's wedding. Not much was known at what happened at the event. That has all changed.
An insider has disclosed as to what occured that has caused all this tension. It apparently started with a dance.
On Monday, the hot-sauce entrepreneur, wrote in a bombshell Instagram post how "hijacked" his "first dance" with his wife, adding, "She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone."
Brooklyn Beckham’s first "special" wedding dance with wife Nicola Peltz descended into chaos when the bride ran off in tears — as his mom, Victoria Beckham, "nuzzled" into her son’s neck on the dance floor at their reception, sources have said.
It's been learnt that this wasn't the couple’s very first dance but happened after they, their family and other guests had already been dancing for a while — when singer, Marc Anthony, took the stage to perform.
Anthony was apparently supposed to introduce the couple, who would then dance on a specially built stage. "It was meant to be the big romantic first dance," said a second wedding insider. "It was pre-determined specifically for Nicola and Brooklyn."
Instead, Marc Anthony, a longtime friend of the Beckham family, called Brooklyn up to dance with "the most beautiful woman in the room" — not the new bride, but Victoria. The first guest said that Victoria "got up on stage and wrapped her arms around Brooklyn" and "nuzzled into his neck."
"She was dancing with him very inappropriately. She took that moment from Nicola, that is the God’s truth." The guest added, "Nicola ran out crying. The Beckhams’ side of the room was cheering and the Peltz side was quiet. Nicola’s friends were saying 'You have to go back down.' Her face was swollen. She finally came down and was sad the entire evening, it was so heartbreaking."
Brooklyn wrote in his statement that he had, "never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life." The Peltzes specially built a stage for Marc Anthony, who performed his hit "You Sang To Me" and that they paid his band.
Other sources claimed there was no “hijack” of the couple’s first dance, telling that Nicola and Brooklyn had already danced together and that Nicola had danced with her father. David Beckham soon joined his wife, Victoria and son Brooklyn, onstage, as did daughter, Harper.
"It was a family dance, basically," said the wedding insider, who denied there was anything "inappropriate" about Victoria’s behaviour.
Brooklyn also wrote in his statement how his mom, who has her own fashion line, "cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour … forcing her to urgently find a new dress."
Nicola and her mom and stylist, Leslie Fremar, instead traveled to Rome to have a gown made by Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino’s former head designer. Contradicting Brooklyn’s claims, Fremar previously told Vogue that Nicola’s wedding gown was a year in the making and included two fittings in the U.S.A..
Upon learning this, Victoria asked, "Should I wear Valentino, too?" — before ultimately choosing a design from her own line.
Quizzed about why her mother-in-law didn’t make her gown, Nicola told the Sunday Times in October 2022, "It’s not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, ‘feud, feud, feud.’ I don’t know why they say feud. I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labelling it feud? No family is perfect!"
Brooklyn wrote in his statement that his and Nicola’s wedding left them so distraught they said "I do" in a small, private ceremony — not attended by his family — last August at one of the Peltz family’s estates in Westchester County, NY. Nicola wore her mom Claudia’s old wedding gown.
"We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment," Brooklyn wrote on Instagram.
TV personality, Lizzie Cundy, has lifted the lid on what really happened at the star-studded affair as she shared her close friend’s recollection of the event on Vanessa Feltz’ Channel 5 talk show. She told the 63-year-old broadcaster: "For Victoria to allegedly have done this is awful, but Brooklyn needs to release the tapes; we need to see these."
"My friend was at the wedding who said it did happen, and I know them very well. They wouldn’t have said that if it wasn’t true." Feltz agreed, adding that there would be nowhere to hide if the claims were false, given the sheer number of guests in attendance.
She added: "I feel like Brooklyn wouldn’t have said it so specifically if it hadn’t been true because there were 500 witnesses, all of whom could have said, 'Well, that’s not true'."
Cundy clarified: "It may not have been the first dance, but it was a dance that he had planned with his wife, and it was a very special moment that he felt Victoria had destroyed."

"This story is massive. We thought Wagatha Christie is big, this is ginormous, it’s global. I really do feel for the family because they are human beings at the end of the day. If your son is doing this to you as a mother, I can’t imagine how horrific it must feel."
Cundy isn’t the first person to speak out about what really happened at the wedding. DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the wedding, has publicly inserted himself into the debate, posting a video mocking the situation and insisting he witnessed events firsthand.
Sharing a clip of Lucy Punch’s character dancing wildly in the BBC sitcom, Motherland, Tony captioned it: "POV: Victoria Beckham during Brooklyn’s first dance.” He then added: "Actual video footage, it’s true, I was there!"
The post quickly went viral, fuelling speculation about what really unfolded during the high-profile celebration. Tony’s partner, Stavros Agapiou, appeared to go even further – before swiftly deleting his comment.
Writing on Instagram, he said: "I was there, and she did, he’s telling the truth." He later replaced it with a more measured post stating: "Good on him for finally speaking out!"
Sources familiar with the situation has said the couple has no plans to ever release the wedding footage, which includes an extremely uncomfortable dance between Brooklyn and Victoria. It's been said that it lasted several minutes - an entire song - and left guests unsure how to react.
According to our sources, Victoria was right up against Brooklyn, allegedly in a way grinding on him, and guests felt the interaction crossed a line ... behavior those in attendance viewed as more fitting for romantic partners than a mother and son. Our sources say Brooklyn was mortified and never wants the moment made public.
Another reason the couple is confident the footage will remain private is how tightly the wedding was controlled. No phones were allowed and everyone attending or working the event signed NDAs and had their phones confiscated. According to sources, Victoria was the only person allowed to keep her phone after an exception was made.

As for the video itself, sources say the videography company uploaded the footage directly to a computer accessible only to Brooklyn and Nicola and, per contract, was required to wipe all copies and sign an NDA. If the footage ever leaked publicly, sources say it would be immediately clear that it came from the videographer.
Brooklyn has stayed offline since posting his statement on Monday and isn't reading reactions. The couple is currently lying low. Brooklyn is surprised and appreciative of the support he’s received.
Brooklyn broke his silence on Instagram, accusing his parents of being controlling, image-obsessed and dishonest and making clear he's done trying to reconcile. He pushed back on claims Nicola controls him, alleging his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his name, bailed on Nicola's wedding dress and that Victoria hijacked a dance at their wedding.
"As much as this sounds crazy and unhinged, everything Brooklyn said in his statement is true," an insider said, noting that it's "too late" for David and Victoria Beckham to make amends and that Brooklyn's "had enough."
Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has said he does not want to reconcile with his famous parents, former soccer star David Beckham and Spice Girl-turned-fashion-designer Victoria, in a social media post acknowledging a long-rumored family relationship breakdown.
Peltz Beckham’s posted on Instagram on Monday, accusing his parents of trying to "ruin" his marriage to American billionaire heiress and actress, Nicola Peltz, daughter of businessman, Nelson Peltz and former model, Claudia Heffner Peltz.
"For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family," Peltz Beckham wrote, adding his parents have been "trying endlessly to ruin" his relationship with his wife, since before their wedding in 2022. He adopted a double-barreled surname following the nuptials.
"I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life," Peltz Beckham wrote to his 16.3 million followers in a lengthy statement posted across six stories on the social media platform.
Another insider added that "David and Victoria kept trying to push Brooklyn and Nicola apart, they kept doing it. If they love Brooklyn, they have a funny way of showing it. They’ve had every opportunity to apologize and they didn’t."
An insider tells The Sun that Victoria Beckham has been fluctuating between "extreme hurt and [being] filled with rage." One source insists that "Despite everything that’s happened, David and Victoria still love their son. He will always be their boy, and there will always be a place for him in their home. They have tried everything in their power to mend their relationship with him and it hasn’t worked."
"David and Victoria are overwhelmed with the public support they’ve had from their fans and know families up and down the country are experiencing issues of their own," another insider says. "If they can offer comfort to even one family, it is something."
They add that Brooklyn and Nicola have also "been inundated with support from younger Gen Z fans" and that ultimately "no one wanted any of this but they all have wonderful support around them, both personally and professionally."
I never thought that the source of all this can be so conflicted. One person is saying this and others are saying something else. Despite the NDA, I believe that the video should be released to clear the controversy. If this doesn't occur, I suspect high levels of speculations and gossip to take place.
Despite the revelations, at least to me, things are still a bit complex. Having a large amount of people in attendance, only leads to many different stories. It's not possible to get one, unified and accurate story.
